As the Farmers Screen program grows, FCA is developing other programs that will build upon and enhance screen objectives, yet at the same time achieve other social and economic goals. Using the Farmers Screen as a guide, and lessons learned from the vast network of relationships with organizations, communities and agencies, FCA realized how eager people are for solutions like the Farmers Screen, that address other energy and water challenges facing rural communities throughout the Northwest. People are searching for market-based or community benefit solutions, like the Farmers Screen, that are affordable, environmentally friendly and improve quality of life.
In the next 10 years, FCA will:
• Install 750 Farmers Screens

• Support the production of 200 MW of environmentally friendly, community-scale energy
• Restore 2500 miles of rivers for fish habitat passage
